MSI Package Builder 4.5 Offers MSI Packages Generation for x86 and x64 Platforms |
February 2, 2012 |
The new maintenance release is available for MSI Package Builder. It introduces a new option that allows a target platform selection for the generated MSI package. Now it is possible to select either x86 or x64 platform as a target platform for the generated MSI package. The new release of MSI Package Builder also includes improved custom actions features. They allow to execute multiple pre and post installation and uninstallation actions, execute actions with parameters and define how to handle errors that may happen during execution of custom installation actions. |

New features are introduced in WakeOnLan, Remote Registry Merge and Remote Registry Exporter tools |
December 26, 2011 |
The new versions of WakeOnLan, Remote Registry Merge and Remote Registry Exporter are released with a set of new features. Improved networking module includes an option for re-enumerating network PCs in order to extract network information such as MAC address, for example. It also allows to enumerate specific groups and Active Directory containers to update a list of available PCs, that can change since the last scan. The new versions also introduce the new Machine Queue editor that now consists of the single tab, that is used for configuring target PCs and groups where remote tasks should be executed. Configured Machine Queue can be previewed on a separate tab that displays a list of PCs satisfying defined conditions and log messages that help to troubleshoot networking problems if they occur. |

WakeOnLan 1.1 offers new features for enterprise customers |
August 22, 2011 |
The Professional edition of WakeOnLan 1.1 includes two brand new features that allow to use the application in large-scale enterprise networks. In addition to MAC addresses extraction methods from turned on PCs, the new version is able to detect MAC addresses for all PCs, despite to their current power state, from Microsoft DHCP servers. As a result it becomes possible to collect a full list of MAC addresses for large networks in few moments. Also the new version enables specifying targets of WOL operation as an Active Directory query, that retrieves the actual list of PCs every time before executing of WOL operation. It makes possible to avoid WOL targets updating every time when a network structure is changing. |
