EMCO MSI Package Builder 4.2 released |

Repackaging of existing installations is one of the main features of MSI Package Builder. Version 4.2 is aimed to make it simpler through improved wizard and 'Live Monitoring' technology. New repackaging wizard allows making a successful repackaging of complex installations that launch few processes to complete an installation. The new version also has a new MSI generation engine that produces MSI packages in the latest Windows Installer format. Other important improvements include an ability to specify icon for produced MSI package during MSI generation. Selected icon will be displayed in Add/Remove Programs list after MSI package installation, for example. Also the new version has refined list of filters with detailed explanation of their purpose to simplify usage of this powerful feature. |

EMCO Remote Shutdown 4.0 released |

Centralized power management for companies and organizations becomes easier with a new Remote Shutdown 4.0. The new version was totally redesigned to usability and deliver new features. All parts of applications were significantly improved, including visual interface and main workflows. Now all scheduled actions can be viewed and managed on a Visual Calendar, which is similar to Calendar in the Microsoft Outlook. Remote task definition and its execution scheduling were merged together to simplify configuration and now can configured through step-by-step wizard. One of the important improvements in the version 4.0 is a new network engine. It is able to connect to the Active Directory and extract network information from it, including network hierarchy. Also execution or remote operations were optimized to gain up to 250% performance improvement. Version 4.0 comes with an extended set of remote operations. It supports now hibernate and sleep operations and includes an option to allow operations cancellation on the remote side. |

EMCO MoveOnBoot 2.1.3 is available |

The new release of EMCO MoveOnBoot is available for downloading. It provides a new feature to synchronize Boot Actions view with information, stored in the system registry. Also this release provides a few improvements that help to prevent invalid situations. In particular, now Boot Actions view skips to display duplicated entries and Move dialog prevents files and folders moving into themselves, which is obviously wrong. |

User Account Control (UAC) is one of the fundamental technologies for system protection on Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows 2008 platforms. Applications that should work on these platforms should follow a set of UAC requirements and design recommendations. Starting from the version 2.3 EMCO OS License Modifier fully supports these requirements and recommendations. Actions that require administrative access are separated from entire application, so application can successfully operate with no administrative rights. When administrative access is required for selected action the application is automatically re-launched with administrative permissions. In addition to UAC support improvements EMCO OS License Modifier 2.3 contains new icon set and a bugfix for incorrect retrieving of hierarchical domain structure issue. |

EMCO Software announces updated versions of freeware tools EMCO noPing Inspector, EMCO MoveOnBoot and EMCO OS License Modifier. New releases are targeted at usability and stability improvements.
