EMCO OS License Modifier - What's New in Version 2.1

All dialog windows and wizards were improved to include input data validation. Now all entered data is validated to display data input tips about allowed or expected data format and prevent invalid input.

Set of options, available in the pop-up menu in the System Tray was extended to include access to Preferences, application information links. You can also manage Tray options directly in pop-up menu, without opening the Preferences dialog.

Features below were firstly introduced or significantly improved in this release:

• About dialog can be closed by pressing Esc button
• Various application icons were replaced by better images
• Proxy settings can be configured on Preferences dialog
• Integrated Help was included into the application distribution

In this version you can edit registered owner and registered organization data separately with ability to change one field and keep existing value for another field. This feature is extremely helpful for group update operations, when, for example, you need to change an organization name on multiple computers at once, but keep registered owner information untouched.

New updates checking feature keeps you informed about new releases. It works in automatic mode at the application startup and informs you if any updates are available, so you can migrate to new version quickly.

Network navigation bar was reworked to reduce the bar height and free space at the top and bottom. A new look of the navigation bar is not close to the Microsoft Office navigation.

All remote operations now use remote host pinging to detect if remote computer is available at the current moment. It helps to reduce a timeout for waiting a response from unavailable PC and allows increasing performance or remote operations.
