Introducing EMCO WakeOnLan, a tool that helps to power up remote PCs

WakeOnLan is a brand new tool from EMCO that allows to send Wake-on-LAN network packages to remote PCs in order to wake them up. This tool is available in two editions. Free edition allows to wake up multiple remote PCs simultaneously. Professional edition has all features of Free edition and allows to execute Wake-on-LAN tasks on schedule. Both editions are able to work in complex network environment that consists of different subnets and send WOL packets using unicast, broadcast and directed broadcast methods. Another advantage of the application is an automatic MAC addresses detection on remote PCs, that allows to avoid manual MAC addresses detection and specification for every PC during WOL packets sending.

EMCO UnLock IT 3 offers an extended set of unlocking methods

The new major release of the free unlocking utility is targeted to improve file/folder locks detection and the unlocking features. Version 3 is able to detect locks caused by opened file and library handles and enables their graceful releasing. An improved visual interface allows to get a list of processes that lock a resource and perform unlocking operation. In the version 3 it's possible to select an unlocking method that will be used. The application enables closing file and library handles to a resource in order to unlock it, or terminating processes that hold locks. Also the new version supports a command-line interface.

EMCO Remote Shutdown 4.3 comes with improved Wake-on-LAN task

The new version of Remote Shutdown is able to collect MAC address from remote PCs by four different methods. It allows to collect MAC addresses in a different network environments and, as the result, run WOL task in these environments. Used MAC detection methods can be configured through application preferences, depending on a particular network environment. The new version also helps to address the problem with power peaks that might happen on executing WOL task in environments with a large number of PCs. To reduce power peaks Remote Shutdown can be configured to wake up only a given number of PCs at once and making delays before sending WOL packet to the next group of PCs.

EMCO Remote Deployment 5 is available with a new look and new features

The new release of Remote Deployment comes with dozen improvements and new features in different areas. An improved networking module simplifies detection of network PCs and configuring of target PCs for remote deployment. It integrates with the Active Directory to extract information about available network resources within a few moments. Also it allows to export and import a list of target PCs to/from text and CSV files. Other important features in the new release, are generation of EXE installations and MSI packages for existing installation snapshot packages. Produced installations can be used externally for manual deployment.

EMCO Ping Monitor 4.1 enables individual management of monitoring state for every host

Specification of individual configuration for every monitored host and individual monitoring state management for hosts are main features of the new Ping Monitor 4.1. The new release offers a new feature for independent starting and stopping monitoring for selected hosts. This feature is available both in the Free and Professional editions, as well as an ability to reset ping statistics without stopping the monitoring process and other minor improvements.

The Professional edition offers an important improvement, that allows to specify custom notification settings for every host. It makes possible to configure the own list of e-mail recipients for a host and define events on which e-mail and tray notifications will be activated.

EMCO Remote Shutdown 4.1 is available with an extended set of remote tasks

A list of remote operations, supported by the latest Remote Shutdown 4.1 is extended to offer even more features. Now the application allows sending text messages to remote PCs. This feature can be very useful for notifying remote users about planned or urgent events. Remote messages can be sent to remote PCs in scope of execution of the corresponding task that can be executed immediately or added into the schedule as other remote tasks. Also new release includes another remote task that makes possible to lock remote desktops.

In addition to extending set of remote operations, the new release of Remote Shutdown includes an option to send e-mail notifications about execution of remote tasks. This feature allows administrators to be informed by e-mail about execution of every remote task and result of its execution on every PC.

EMCO UnLock IT becomes compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2

The new UnLock IT 2 release is available for downloading. This release is targeted at supporting of Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 platforms and providing an improved integration with Windows Explorer on all platforms. The new release also contains few visual interface improvements, such as new look of Ribbon interface, reworked icons and menu, and additional set of strict and funny skins for a visual interface.

EMCO Ping Monitor 4 offers simultaneous monitoring of multiple hosts

According to a lot of requests from end-users, a newly released version 4 of Ping Monitor includes functionality for tracking connection state to multiple hosts simultaneously. This feature is available in the freeware edition of the application, which is able to track up to 5 hosts. Also starting from the version 4, application is available as commercial edition with ability for tracking of unlimited number of hosts and other extended features.

The new release of Ping Monitor comes with new user interface, which allows displaying hosts monitoring information in different modes, such as table presentations and various card views. It also provides extended monitoring information for every tracked host. It includes ping and connection outages statistics.

EMCO MSI Package Builder 4.3 released

The new release of MSI Package Builder offers improved Live Monitoring technology that is a key component of automatic repackaging engine. It support repackaging of both x86 and x64 installations and can work on various environments, including Windows 7 and Windows 2008. Version 4.3 provides an advanced repackaging technology that is able to make a successful repackaging of large and complicated installations. With latest improvements, MSI Package Builder passed all tests for MS Office 2007, MS Office 2003 repackaging on different platforms, to prove its status of a leading repacking solution.

EMCO Network Inventory 5.6 released

Network Inventory becomes compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2. Version 5.6 can be launched on these platform and also collect inventory information from Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 remotely. In addition to support of new platforms version 5.6 has a lot of improvements. One of the most important improvements is an export and report functionality added for custom scan operations. Now it's possible to save scan results in Microsoft Excel and other formats or generate scan report directly from Network Inventory. Version 5.6 comes with improved integrated reports, which now represent inventory information in a compact way to optimize a report size and reduce a wasted space. Also these reports can include customizable headers to show report author, company name or other information on every page.

EMCO Remote Desktop 4.3 is available

Starting from the version 4.3, Remote Desktop becomes compatible with the latest Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 operation systems. Both platforms are supported by a server and client modules, so Remote Desktop can be launched on Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 as well as provide remote connection to these platforms.
