  1. Licensing Terms
    1. A software license is valid for a specific major version of the program (for example, version 1) and is perpetual, i.e. it doesn't have an expiration time and doesn't require renewal.
    2. A license is issued for the current major version of the program (for example, version 1) and is valid for this version only.
    3. A license is not transferable. It is issued for a particular company/organization and can only be used by employees of this company/organization.
    4. IT service providers can register the programs on client sites respecting the terms of the ordered licenses, but the programs can be used by the IT service provider staff only. The programs should be uninstalled after the client support has ended. If the client staff need to use the programs installed by the IT service provider, they must order own licenses.
  2. Program Maintenance, Upgrades and Updates
    1. Major version upgrades (for example, an upgrade from version 1 to version 2) are chargeable. License keys for previous versions don't work on a new major version of the program. If you would like to upgrade, you can order an upgrade at a special price and get a new license key.
    2. Free major version upgrades are available for customers who ordered a license within 3 months before the new major version release. In this case, the license for the old version allows activating the new version of the program.
    3. Minor version updates (detectable by change of the second and third version numbers, for example, an upgrade from version 1.0 to version 1.1, or from version 1.0.0 to version 1.0.1) are available free of charge.
    4. There are no regular maintenance fees. You pay for a major version upgrade only if you need this upgrade.
    5. EMCO maintains the latest version of the program only.
  3. Technical Support
    1. EMCO provides free technical support by e-mail during business hours.
    2. Bug fixes are provided as minor version updates for the latest version of the program only.
  4. Product Delivery
    1. EMCO ships no physical products. EMCO sends you the product download link and the license key to the e-mail you specify during the ordering process. It is your responsibility to provide EMCO with a valid email address for delivery purposes.
    2. EMCO will use its commercially reasonable best efforts to deliver the ordered license key within two business days following the acceptance of the order.
  5. Miscellaneous
    1. These Purchase Terms are subject to change at any time by EMCO by posting the updated Purchase Terms on the EMCO website at https://emcosoftware.com
