- Licensing Terms
- End User License Agreement (EULA). By using the program, you agree to the terms of the End User License Agreement (EULA).
- Perpetual license for a specific major version of the program. The license is valid only for a specific major version of the program (for example, version 1) and doesn't expire or require renewal.
- The license does not cover future versions. The license is restricted to the purchased major version and cannot be used or activated for future major version releases. A new license must be obtained for each major version upgrade.
- The license is non-transferable between organizations. The license is issued to a specific company or organization and cannot be transferred to another company or organization. Only employees of the licensed organization are permitted to use the program.
- IT service provider usage limited to their staff. Service providers can install the program on client sites, but only their staff may use it. The program must be uninstalled after support ends. If the service provider’s client staff needs to use the program, they must purchase their own licenses.
- Program Maintenance, Upgrades and Updates
- Major version upgrades are chargeable. Upgrades to a new major version (for example, from version 1 to version 2) require purchasing a new license key. Previous version keys won’t work with new major versions, but you can order the upgrade at a discounted price.
- Free major upgrades within 3 months of purchase. Customers who purchased a license within 3 months before a new major version release are eligible for a free upgrade. The old license key will activate the new version.
- Minor version updates are free. Updates that change the second or third version numbers (for example, from 1.0 to 1.1 or 1.0.0 to 1.0.1) are provided at no additional cost.
- No regular maintenance fees. You only pay for major version upgrades if you choose to upgrade.
- Maintenance of the latest major version. Maintenance and updates are provided for the latest version of the program.
- Technical Support
- Free technical support via email. EMCO provides free technical support via email during standard business hours.
- Bug fixes for the latest version. Bug fixes are provided as minor version updates for the latest major version of the program.
- Product Delivery
- Digital delivery only. EMCO does not ship physical products. The product download link and license key are sent to the email address provided during the ordering process. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide a valid email address for delivery.
- License key delivery. EMCO ensures delivery of the ordered license key within a maximum of two business days after order acceptance.
- Miscellaneous
- Right to change purchase terms. EMCO reserves the right to update these terms at any time by posting the changes on the EMCO website https://emcosoftware.com.
