Downloading the Program

The program is available in three editions that can be downloaded from the Downloads page of the website. To start using the program, you need to download the edition that satisfies your requirements.

  • The Free edition is a freeware tool that can be used free of charge for personal or commercial needs. This edition of the program has some functional limitations. It allows you to manage up to five PCs in the scope of a single remote operation. The program works as a Windows application, so you need to keep it up and running in an active Windows user session to execute scheduled tasks.
  • The Professional edition is a commercial tool that does not have limitations as for the number of managed remote PCs in the scope of a single remote operation. The program works as a Windows service, so it executes scheduled tasks even if you log off from Windows.
  • The Enterprise edition is a commercial tool that works as client/server. It allows multiple clients to connect to the same server through LAN/WAN/VPN and work concurrently. This edition does not have limitations as for the number of managed remote PCs in the scope of a single remote operation.

The commercial editions of the program can be evaluated free of charge during 30 days. During the evaluation period, you can manage up to 25 remote PCs in the scope of a single remote operation.

To use the program successfully, you should make sure that your computer where EMCO Remote Shutdown is going to be installed satisfies the requirements explained on the Requirements page of the website.

If you face a problem, it makes sense to check the errors reported in the Execution Results and Log views. If the problem can be resolved by a user, the error description in the log includes troubleshooting information, so you can follow the suggestions to resolve the problem.
