Welcome to EMCO Ping Monitor. You have chosen an easy-to-use software product that allows you to monitor host states and the connection quality of monitored hosts. The program can send different types of notifications when the host status and the connection quality change. The program collects monitoring statistics, including different monitoring metrics, and can generate reports with detailed information on the performance of any monitored host. This manual provides you with detailed information on all of the program features.

Downloading the Program

The program is available in three editions that can be downloaded from the Downloads page of the website. To start using the program, you need to download the edition that satisfies your requirements.

  • The Free edition allows monitoring up to five hosts and runs as a Windows program, so it is suitable for monitoring of a small number of hosts only. This edition does not include remote connection and other advanced options.
  • The Professional edition allows monitoring up to 250 hosts and works as a Windows service that can be connected to by a GUI client launched on the same computer. The monitoring server can work with no active Windows login, so monitoring can run on even if you log off from Windows. The server allows for two simultaneous local client connections. This edition is suitable for continuous hosts monitoring in the 24/7 mode. This is a commercial edition of the program, which may be evaluated free of charge with no functionality limitations during 30 days.
  • The Enterprise edition has no limitations on the number of monitored hosts and works as a client/server, which allows simultaneous connection of multiple local and remote clients to the same server. This edition also features a web-monitoring interface, so most monitoring tasks can be performed in browser without running a GUI client. This edition is suitable for monitoring a large number of hosts in the 24/7 mode in environments that require remote access to the monitoring server. This is a commercial edition of the program, which may be evaluated free of charge with no functionality limitations during 30 days.

Detailed information on the features available in different editions of the program is available on the Compare Editions page of the website.
